Now for today's outing. I decided to go for a viewpoint hike today rather than a lake or waterfall, as I figured it would be hard top the lake hike yesterday. I headed out towards Rainier, to an old fire outlook with some breathtaking views.

To get an idea of my destination, here's a view from the trailhead below, which was already 40min or so up a mountain road

zoomed in you can see the outlook from afar

The peak is a little daunting at first, rather exposed, but a stunning view of both Rainier and the entire surrounding area.

The pics really don't do the experience of being up there justice, but some panorama shots can help give you an idea

A member responded a day or two back loving the color of Hinderer scales shown on someone's post here . For my part, RHK red G10 is a huge favorite for both its shade and semi-tranlusence. Directly after grabbing this knife off the Exchange I ordered the scale it's wearing here and I had the two in hand at almost the same time. Carrying it now on this Skinny Sheepsfoot Saturday.....
