That things kind of interesting. I bet you could strop those blades up over and over again for quite a while too. I'm amazed lately at my straight edge shaving razor. I bought one that takes disposable blades from a barber in town, but he accidentally gave me blades for a double edge razor. Not wanting to go back, I cut the double edge razor blade in half and put one half in my straight razor. I've been using that one disposable straight razor blade for atleast 4 months now. I shave the majority with my standard razor and then line myself up in the hard places with the straight razor and can get very accurate cuts. But I've been just stropping the blade on a paper towel against the bathroom counter and it's kept it shaving sharp all these months.
I strop it all the time. Haven't changed blades yet!

I've come to really dislike grease in knives and change out to W10 NanoOil almost immediately unless the action is outstanding out of the box. My Russians and the Italians I've owned (sold most) all had black Militec-like gunk in 'em. My latest, Cheburkov Leader, didn't have much, but cleaning it out and re-lubing made a huge difference.

My small Strizh is the all-CF model like yours, but older and on washers. It had a wicked stiff action when I received it as it likely sat on the German dealer's shelf for a long time. Putting a hair dryer to it was not enough to break the thread locker but did seem to melt whatever was in there and adding a tiny bit of W10 from time to time keeps it super smooth and flicking out easily. I keep meaning to put my heat gun to it to crack it open for a good cleaning, but still haven't managed to get around to it.

Today's carry is the Leader again--same liner-less liner-lock construction as the Strizh--with our friend @bigolegator in mind for 'Spensive Pocket Sword Sunday.

Truly like the way Alex makes the grain of his carbon fiber stand out and shine.
