I got this Civivi Voltaic mod ready for carry, and then I got dinner ready to eat.

Did you bead blast that? I like that knife and was just looking them up, looks like the wood only comes in a coated blade and handle from what I could see. I like what you did there.

Thanks! I just did a scale swap between the Wood/Coated and G10/Non-coated versions, plus Skiff bearings.

I really wish they'd do more non-coated wood combinations. I think it looks better. Sometimes, there are enough options available for a scale swap to make that happen. If not, I'll often pass. I took the time to sand the coating off the liners and hardware to get there with my Chevalier. I'm mostly happy with how it turned out but I'd really have to love a knife to want to do that again.

There are a bunch of mods I don't do because I'm not set up to do either media blasting or anodization at home. I'll get there one day.
