Busy day ahead. Mama is out of town, so I need to get three kids to soccer games at different times today spread out over 4 hours. Luckily my boy is going to sleep over at the grandparent’s house, so I’ll get to take my girls on a date tonight. I’d normally carry something smaller for a day like today, but I remain committed to Rextober. Luckily, it’s one of my all time favorite knives.

Side note, I was trying to surprise my wife when she comes home and was going to trim our poodles face up. I somehow managed to give him the worst mullet/skullet in the history of poodles. On the positive side, I laugh every time I look at him.

I’ll second that. Seems like I was dropping my kids at pre-school yesterday and now we are going on college visits.Looks good to me man
Dads get s4!t done!
Enjoy the insanity, and relish every moment of it. My youngest (twins) are seniors in high school now and it goes by in the blink of an eye (plus I done went and got old in the meantime).
Yeah, my girls are twins, just turned three. Boy is turning 5 on the 25th. So just two years between them. We got a late start due to medical issues and I’m about to be 38. It’s funny because I’m the oldest dad at all their age group events. I’m very thankful that I’m in good shape as I wouldn’t be able to keep up otherwise/Looks good to me man

I understand weeks and months of 12+ hour days with no time to do what you enjoy. My friend, I am glad things have slowed to a pace that allows you time to do the hiking. It is always a great feeling when the struggles pay off. Many thanks my friend. I do count myself truly blessed every moment I get to be out there, and I make sure to stop and take the time to be cognizant of it. It was a bit of a stressful and hectic summer this year, which culminated in an August full of 16 hour days where I didn't get in the mountains at all, so I've been trying to make up for it before the weather returns. A bit of a reward to myself as well. We moved out here 5 years ago now and keeping things going on opposite ends of the country has been tough. It's nice to have a touch of breathing room and momentary relief as the hard work and struggle finally starts to feel like it's paying off.
