Was hoping to do some grilling this evening, but there was just too much to get done today and I was stretched to thin to fit it in. Ended up grabbing some crispy chicken from my favorite Thai place, and still had a nice evening nonetheless. Played around with the camera a bit enjoying sunset and listening to some music on the back porch and then on the deck upstairs. "Autumn Leaves" (Cannonball Adderley) seemed appropriate, followed by some more Miles Davis, then Coltrane, and finished up with some Bach. Honestly, in all the years since, I don't think anyone has ever done it better than Bach IMO.

Busy day ahead. Mama is out of town, so I need to get three kids to soccer games at different times today spread out over 4 hours. Luckily my boy is going to sleep over at the grandparent’s house, so I’ll get to take my girls on a date tonight. I’d normally carry something smaller for a day like today, but I remain committed to Rextober. Luckily, it’s one of my all time favorite knives.
Side note, I was trying to surprise my wife when she comes home and was going to trim our poodles face up. I somehow managed to give him the worst mullet/skullet in the history of poodles. On the positive side, I laugh every time I look at him.

The Kershaw Crown was my first intro to modern non slip joint knives (a zillion years ago). Still carry it at times. Is a good knife; don't know why Kershaw Dc-ed it??
