I spent the afternoon working on my sheetmetal project, though most of the time was spent in the woodshop resolving dimensional discrepancies from the various patterns and template blocks I got from my builder/client and the two sizes of pre-formed copper done by another shop that need to resolve into each other. I got it figured out to the extent that I could modify the first set of assembly jigs and build the second set of jigs for the narrower stock and move on to the bulk of the corners I have to cut, fit, and solder together. It's just one of those projects I wish I hadn't taken on as it's a real PIA.

I had my Wilson Combat Les George Eagle with me today. It's a knife I spent a lot of time on, getting the action right and giving its CTS-XHP blade a substantial re-profile. Despite its reasonably thin 3.4mm blade stock it's not very TBE, so taking it to 15 per side has made a big difference in its cutting performance. The XHP took a really nice edge too.

The handle on this one is unusually thin for such a broad and substantial piece at only 7/16", which makes it easy in pocket. It's simple spring clip makes it easy in and out too.
