EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Firstly, at least iMamba's are kinda hard to come by, so that may make it harder for you and your money to part company. Secondly, I've cut you some ogling slack today and set the new AB aside in deference to my Firetac, inspired in part by @Greasepiggy 's pic of his yesterday.

As much as I like the Firetac, I've recently been having a little difficulty flicking it open. I think my dexterity's been a bit ruined by all the flippers I've been carrying plus this is my only thumb disc knife and I've found I've had to dig my digit in a bit more, firing out at more of a right angle as a forward push won't move the blade. With its long lock bar and rearward relief cut it's also highly susceptible to pressure from a stray finger so I've changed my grip to avoid that plus adding another dab of FinishLine to the detent ball to ease it breaking out.

All's good now and I'm sitting here flicking incessantly while enjoying our usual NFL Sunday marathon. :D

Thanks for the tip. It's funny, I had assumed the brass thumb disc was aftermarket as the knife came to me with several mods, but looking through the box just now, there's no other disc to go along with the included original OTS and clip. It's certainly not the Monster Disc I mistakenly thought it was either as it fits neatly in its cutout sans notches. My seller picked it up at AZCK modded as he sold it to me and I found the listing and pics there just as it is now.

While I have the new opening technique down, it's still a bit unnatural, so I just wrote to Gray Precision to see if their brass Monster will fit my knife. I was pleased with the one I had on the ZT0640 I had briefly and sold soon after picking up the Firetac.

And because I do have it out now as I write, here's another pic of it I dug up from last March.

Yeah I’ve got one from Gray on mine. It’ll fit. The screw won’t be perfectly flush but if you’re not OCD it’s fine lol
 
I'm relaxing after a long and productive day. I put some more use on this Harnds Harvest in 14C28N. This is a fun budget knife with good action. I like the blade shape. I did a little ergonomic softening on the scales but even stock, it's a great example of how far $40 can go in the modern knife market. While I expected it to be more "general EDC", I've ended up grabbing it for a surprising amount of beater tasks. It has held up well to chores.
