EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Today was a good day to carry another knife that gets EDC but non-work duty, but for pics, well, not so much, as it started raining not inconsequentially just about the time I stepped outside. I ducked into the woodshed, but there's not much light in there on a gray wet day.

Happy Thanksgiving to my USA friends!!

I got in a tussle last night with a huge whitetail buck. Thought I was gonna get to use my knife and actually collect some meat this year but alas! After the collision, he got up and ran away. Did a number to the front of my truck to the point I cannot open my hood.

Got this small neck knife but I felt it was too blunt tipped so I ground down the spine to a clip point and grounded in swedges on each side

Awesome mod.
I have a straight razor that I want to round the end. Current end is very pointed an occasionally draws blood. How did you keep the blade cool to avoid ruining the heat treat?

Thanks and since the sheaths retention relies on the handle it hasn’t lost any hold, also the blade is still the same length and earlier I had drilled a lanyard hole too

Regarding keeping it cool was repeated dips into a jar of cold water so it never went very warm at all

NKD. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t until recently that I realized those letters stood for “new knife day”. For the longest time I thought they just meant “naked”….as in a plain Jane knife, or a knife without much embellishment.

Yeah, I can be a bit slow on the uptake at times. I’m also a sucker for the Lee Williams Kick-Stop, which is what prompted this purchase.
