EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Got a lot done today. Was able to get the exterior all pressure washed, finished cleaning the interior, changed engine oil, transfer case fluid, and front and rear differential. Also got the driveshafts greased and the winch working again. Then filled her up with fresh ethanol free gas.

I’m waiting on a new ignition coil to solve my stuttering issues, then should be set.

Is thaht lobscouse?

Way, way, way back in the day, that was a favorite line of my very Italian grandfather’s, God rest his soul, spoken in a very thick cockney accent, almost every time we were at grandma’s for dinner. Used to drive her crazy. No matter what she set out on the table, with everybody sitting around waiting to dig in, grandpa would blurt out, ‘is thaht lobscouse?’ Still cracks me up thinking about it to this day.

Lobscouse is one of those recipes with a ton of variations and traditions behind it, from Welsh to Norwegian, shin beef to chicken, and different vegetable combinations. I suppose this could have counted. It's chicken, potato, celery, baby carrot, onion, and seasonings in broth.

For soup, stew, and crock-pot noodle dishes; I usually cook down a separate batch of celery, onion, and garlic in butter until it becomes mush, deglaze the pan, and add it all into the main pot to add body. I didn't get to it today so I just finished by dropping in a stick of Kerrygold for the last hour. Here is the update. :)

Dirty Dirty! Back home in the Gunshine State for the month of Feb and I'm happy to report that all blades survived checked luggage. I'm tied up with some family obligations for the next few days, but after that I'm hoping to get out on the water plenty. Until then, some quick phone pics so far.
