  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I grabbed one of those many years ago as well…the first Manix I tried out 👍🏼
It’s my first and only Manix, but one of many many Spydercos. I just loved this one enough to keep it, but I’ve never been a fan of CBB locks, generally They are hard for me to one hand close due to my hand shape I guess. This one is just so broken in that the lock is really easy to actuate and the blade drops shut like a PM2.

Following up on yesterday's post, here's the 551-1 Grip I was lucky to find on the Exchange this past Monday. The seller had it shipped the following day and I had it available at my local PO by mid-morning yesterday, as it traveled barely a third of the way across the state with a brief stop in the RI distribution center. I'd given my KnifeWorks 551-1702 to my buddy as he'd wanted a full-size Griptilian after I'd gifted him a small a few years back. I liked that knife, but the semi-polished paper Micarta was a little slick in hand, so I'd been keeping a lookout for one of these or a DLT 551-1701 G10, though I was not that optimistic about easily finding either. I'm just glad this one in brand new condition popped up not an hour before I scanned the Exchange and I was able to grab it.

I got some pics outside on another wet, raw day here on-Cape. No snow here, just a boatload of rain last night and showers on and off today as the big weather system now seems to be sliding well to the North.
