I've liked this one a lot from Day One, but even more so since installing standoffs, as I both prefer open-back construction and thought the original orange backspacer was pretty cheesy anyway.

I bought one yrs ago and it didn’t work for me…no big issues really but I will keep my 710s 👍🏼

Not OP, but they are a vestige of the manufacturing process. The blade was hard milled (post heat treat), not ground from stock. I think it was then tumbled. Leaves a cool look, and these grooves are much smaller than, e.g., the groves on an NCC BBMV2. I don't think they serve a functional purpose.
