Maybe it's just me, but it seems that about 75% of dog owners, not you necessarily, unknowingly buy a dog with family resemblance!!!! Most of my neighbors kinda resemble their dog or vice versa!!!.
I sure its purely accidental mostly or just subconscious!!!!!

Shortly after my second daughter was born, which made 3 girls with my step daughter, I proceeded to come home with 5 German Shepard pups!!!!!! All boys of course!!! W T F does that say about me???????

Not just you, me and the wife have observed it many times. But we feel it's more like this: dogs and there owners become more similar over time and as they age - it's "convergence"
