Today's Griptilkins doesn't have much left from what was at one point a stock 551. I can't take much credit for this one as I found and purchased it pretty much as is on the Exchange. The scales are brushed aluminum with a polished aluminum backspacer/lanyard attachment. I had always been interested in a Wilkins replacement blade--spearpoint with swedge, S30V, hand flat-ground with oval opening hole--which is what really drove my purchase.



My only contribution here was swapping out the Wilkins polished SS deep-carry clip for a BMK Parkerized split-arrow, which provides better contrast and complements the pivot and body screws along with the black lanyard bead.
