And yes, that is a Large 21.

Oriental or Asian? Ha ha, just kidding, had a lady from HR yell at me fo
India.
Also are those potato's boiled or anything first? How long and at what temp?
Potatoes peeled and raw. Salo is salty. Collect for toothpicks. Sprinkle with spices. Wrap in foil. Preheat the oven. First 35-40 minutes at 180°C. Then open the foil and another 10-15 minutes.

Nice one! I don’t see a lot of other folks sporting a Snick!

The Snick seemed to fly under the radar a little when it came out. Mine was actually a Christmas present from the wife. Since then, it got a couple of minor ergonomic mods, Skiff bearings, and bronze anodization. I've been on the fence over dyeing the Micarta but I'll probably leave it as is.

That premium version sure is cool!

Today's carry comes from the other end of the WE spectrum. The Sencut Snap is another one that seems to have flown a little under the radar. I've got this one running on Skiff bearings and I did a little refinishing on the wood after putting some wear on it.

Fontenille Pataud Corsican Pialincu for a little traditional French flair yesterday and today.

For anyone interested, the tree is a relatively small Banyan tree; somewhat unique in that the branches drop thin vines that eventually take root and become trunks themselves. I refer to this one as “small” because the branches and trunks can spread indefinitely and cover massive areas. I think the largest one in the world spans over 3 acres. They’re kind of a tourist draw in our downtown area, and I had never heard of ‘em before I moved to Florida….so I thought I’d drop that little nugget of knowledge smack dab in the middle of a knife thread.

Why? I dunno….seemed like a good place to drop it. Plus, my dog won’t sit still for a photo. She’s got a wicked-ass case of the puppy zoomies right now.

With your photo and avatar all I can hear is Dale Gribble yelling, "squirrel tactics!". 😂

Congrats on the property, when does the build start?
😂 King of the Hill is one of my favorite shows!

We bought the property last fall. The builders we’ve talked with are all backed up 6 month and are taking longer than usual for completion, so we’re at least a year out. It’ll be so nice when it’s done though, as it’s 20 minutes closer to work for me, much quieter than our current neighborhood, and has a small creek on it. IMG_2297.gif

As planned, we got the rest of the bucked oak bolts split and stocked in the woodshed today, which is the front rank in the pic plus about a foot high in the back, yielding a bit less than a face cord from the tree's upper forks and splittable limbs. I'll buck the bole tomorrow of Friday and expect it'll yield bit more after splitting, giving us about the expected 2/3 cord from an 18" DBH tree.

Yesterday's Dymondwood Crooked River aligned carry with my activity. Splitting wood today, I'll split from wood for a Wilkins Wednesday with the G11 scaled 550HG in 154CM as turnabout is fair play.
