Mantra

Blade 100 mm, VANAX 37 steel, Scandinavian descents. Handles 123 mm, black G-10. Titanium clip. Made 20 pieces by a master from Moscow. Also, 20 pieces were produced with an anodized aluminum handle. If you find it on sale, I strongly do NOT recommend buying it.

Russia is very big and very different. However, so is the USA. There are forests and deserts, there are places where the snow never melts to the end, even in summer. There are modern megacities, and there are ancient, still wooden cities. There are steppes where you can drive a car all day and not meet anyone except birds. And all this time you have no connection, no Internet, not even gas stations. I've seen it myself. There are national republics(states) where the majority of the population does not even speak Russian. There are places where they will find out about a change of government or a war in a year or two or three... I'm not exaggerating.
One of my clients (may he rest in peace) at one point in the 2000's held the record for killing the largest black bear in Kamchatka. He was a big game hunter, all over the world.

Sadly, he was poisoned by his second wife to death. However, it was a poisoning over 5 years, and couldn't be definitively proven by his daughter. One of my favorite clients too. Lived out in the country, raised horses, had an indoor pool.

I know many people from eastern Europe, including Russians. As a geography and history enthusiast, I've always wanted to see Europe, especially the places my ancestors are from, Sicily, Ireland, and Norway.

However, I'm not going to sit my very tall butt on a plane that long. Guess I'll have to get rich and buy a yacht.

Today would be day 7 if I carry my Davis again, but I'm really itching to carry the big boy Biryukov.

What's the bane if this knife again? Um starting to find it this hard to resist...

Today's carry, and the first book I've bought in over a year!

Its a Divo Knives Growler. Good geometry and action, good ergos for a flat scaled handle, and the micarta feels nice. The stonewashed blade finish looks good also. Wish it had a wire clip like the Mash (which is great too) but it works fine. Overall I would recommend it and believe its a wmk exclusive.

Come on my friend! How can you tell us about this project and not even show us a before and after pic!!!🤔😉
Have a great weekend!!!
Not much to see there, J. Just four feet of new boards in the middle of an uninteresting and worn deck. The best things about yesterday were working with my buddy, the knife I carried, and being done. Hope you have a great weekend too, my friend!
