EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

What brand of the boots? I am looking for a sturdy pair of 8" lace up boots. How durable are they?
Thanks
Redwings. At least 5 days a week for 35 years. I wore the 10875 ( was a different model years ago) traction tread before landing a desk and wear the 1907s now as I’m not nearly as hard on my boots.
I always have 2 pair broke in so when one’s out for soles I don’t notice.

They look like Red Wing.
Anecdotally, I’m a fan of Nick’s boots and White’s, which are all 8” heights. They’re expensive boots but well worth the money. My daily work boots are Nicks Travelers and I’m a big fan. But outside of work, I rotate between Whites Bounty Hunters, Whites smoke jumpers on a christy wedge and Nicks Builder Pro. All I trust for working.

Thank you. Agree, over the course of time things have changed. I am not sure for the better, either. At least these can be resoled.

So...I awoke this morning having been disappointed with my new AMK Eagle Ultralight, the knife having developed noticeable lateral blade play sometime earlier yesterday. I could squeeze it at the pivot and it would go away, but would reoccur with any amount of flexing or use. I spent a fair amount of time online last night learning about knife pinning and looking at threads and vids on correcting my issue. The short version is that I squeezed the pivot area between two thin softwood pieces in a vise to pop the peened pin heads above their escutcheons, taped the two sides for protection, held one side of the pivot area squarely against an anvil, and gave the other three medium light raps with a domed tack hammer. The pin heads peened just a tad more and the play seems to have abated. I'll not stress it too much to test, but it seems just fine now with the action still excellent. Fingers crossed it'll hold, but I can repeat the process should it seem loose again after use. Carrying it again on Day Three...

..and, yeah, this sucker's AUS8 blade is indeed wicked sharp and its action free OOTB, as I discovered more than once unlocking it absentmindedly.
