EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

A few months ago I saw several video reviews on a folder made by a company called Sitivien that had a new model 'ST-152' which IMO it's a very high value knife for $28.00, I got one on Amazon a few months ago in very nice looking brown Micarta (currently sold out in the brown micarta).
The ball bearing pivot system is buttery smooth as silk both opening and closing, the German K110 (D2) steel comes scalpel sharp!,.
The full flat blade is beautiful, G10 back spacer, no sharp edges anywhere.. liners flush with the scales, no blade play at all, not light but not overly heavy.
A surprisingly excellent high value folder and a steal for $ $29.00.

It was wicked muggy again this morning after a pretty heavy overnight rainstorm came through, so I turned on the AC in our gym next door and--can you believe it?--spaced out and actually headed over without a knife. Of course there are plenty of cutting tools downstairs over there, but nothing occurred during my sojourn that required any such thing.

Anyway, when I got back to the house I no longer had any need to consider size or weight for a workout blade, so I went with something long, hefty, and substantial, making this a SiDiS Saturday with the ZT 0452 which I hadn't carried in some time. I stuck that in my pocket after changing to jeans and work boots, dousing myself with insect repellent, and spent the afternoon pressure-washing the house deck as it had become really dark, slimy, and slippery the last couple seasons.

I've mentioned this before, but my appreciation for this knife and its companion 0450 has grown exponentially since replacing their crappy stock clips with MXG's, although the bigger knife's too-short, black-painted with white logo one was the worst offender.

There will be no dogs today. She stayed at home with her wife. And my daughter and I visited the Staraya Ladoga fortress.

This is an hour and a half drive from St. Petersburg. The oldest fortress in the north of Russia. In 862 Novgorodians built a wooden fortress here. It was destroyed in 997 by Norwegian-Swedish Vikings led by Jarl Eirik Håkonsson. By 1116, the Novgorod authorities were building a stone fortress on this site.

Over the next two centuries, the Swedes besieged it more than ten times to no avail.

In the largest battle in 1164, the Swedes used 55 ships and over two thousand warriors.

This fortress on the Volkhov River was like a fish bone in the throat throughout Scandinavia.

It closed the only waterway to Russian territories and the eastern passage to the Black Sea.

For six hundred years, the fortress was twice destroyed almost to the ground. And twice she rose like a phoenix from the ashes.

The question was closed by Peter the Great in 1702. After several years of defeats in the Northern War, an assault on the Swedish border fortresses began from this fortress and from the Peter and Paul Fortress of St. Petersburg. Miraculously, the temple was preserved on the territory of the fortress.

Temple built in 1114 with frescoes from the end of the twelfth century.

I must say that the temples in the old Russian fortresses played the same role as the central (master's, donjons) towers in Europe.

It was the last line of defense. Therefore, they have such an architecture.
All in all, this was such a trip.

In addition to the fortress, we visited several more monasteries, but I already loaded you with more information than necessary.
As a bonus, I got smoked fish from the Volkhov River and beer from a local brewery. :)

Today I carried the usual Shootout OTF in the left weak side front pants pocket, and Ochs Worx Solarstorm copper fat carbon fiber in the right front pants pocket, and rotated in my brand new Herman Sting in Magnacut and blue dark matter fat carbon inlay to the right back pocket.
