Hey Martin. Yessir, the blade was acid washed. So I actually won this Sebenza in a raffle on Kniferaffle (reddit) where people raffle off their knives and you buy slots to enter. This one the guy put on Kniferaffle for something like 70, $10 spots. Usually I just buy one slot, but on this one I went crazy and bought 10 spots and was lucky enough to win it. The modder put the slot opening hole in the blade and then acid washed it. At first I didn't like the opening hole because it felt awkward, but now I'm used to it and really like it and can spydie flick it consistently. What I don't like is the modder appears to have covered the very edge with nail polish before acid washing it because he didn't want to resharpen it. However a little bit of nail polish got above the edge bevel in a few places and it made the transition from primary grind to edge bevel a little wavy. The knife also came with a timascus scale that the guy made, as well as a timascus clip. This is a terrible pic of it, but you can see the scale, as well as the funky acid wash transition.Am I seeing this correctly, blade acid washed?. Looks nice anyways

Awesome gear. For me, it's that HDS that puts it over the top into excellence.Into the woods today. Have seen quite a few bear recently, mostly with cubs. Hoping to stay clear of them and maybe stumble across some mushrooms to cook for dinner tonight.
