Just wanted to double check....the rockstead one, I see it's 900USD?:oops::eek:
They retail for somewhere around 1/2 of that, and can be found closer to $300 on the secondary market.

Mid-Morning Decision made and Inkosi all boxed up and ready to ship to where ever it will go so the 31 is back on duty for yard work and errands after church.

Mind if I ask what made you choose the 31 over the Inkosi? I too like 31s, but have seen quite a few who prefer the Inkosi.

Oh I haven't chosen the 31 over the Inkosi. I have a new Magnacut Inkosi being delivered tomorrow so Im letting my S45VN go. So carry the 31 today instead.

We rode with my daughter along the embankments of the Obvodny Canal.

The canal was built for the passage of cargo barges bypassing the city center.

The buildings in the background are the former barracks of the Imperial Cossack Regiment. The regiment was recruited from the Don Cossack army and was responsible for the protection of the imperial family and his loved ones. Also for the suppression of riots and the suppression of uprisings. The Cossacks also patrolled the streets at night.
Great photographs. I think you mentioned you have a connection with the Don Cossacks, interesting history. Is that you ancestry?

Thanks. This HDS has been great. Didn’t need it much today, but will likely be using it later when it comes time to cook dinner.

Great day in the woods. Unfortunately, it looks like the mushrooms have already been eaten or are not good anymore. Saw some black trumpets:

Chanterelles, with a turtle:

The water was nice and cold. Stopped and filled up water bottles:

Also saw another bear while headed down a service road:

Didn’t get close and it ran off quickly. I didn’t see any cubs with it today.
Nice to see ya out enjoying nature instead of what looks like work in a lot of pics! 👊 That Grayl titanium purifier jug thing looks pretty sweet, I just had to google it after seeing it here. Does that work pretty good? Nice shot of the bear! We have one that lives right next door and comes and terrorizes our orchard every year at the same time on the dot. The basterd tears down a section of the 10' fence around the garden and rips off atleast one limb of the plums, those seem to be their main target. He makes a lot of work for us every year but we thought the neighbor shot him a few weeks back and we still were very worried for him.
