My manix 2 in Maxamet is like a laser through cardboard, and then strops right back on the same cardboard! This is not my “best” knife. Not the prettiest, not the best steel, not the best action, not the best handle material. But in the everyday tasks of cardboard breakdown and food prep, this thing absolutely cuts better than my Protech Malibu (magnacut) and Pena Caballero (m390). Honestly the only folder I have that cuts as well is my PM2 in Cruwear.

That's a damn sweet Para 3 there, Chuck. Despite having a fair number of knives with it, I've never been all that enthused with blue ano'd hardware, but boy that dark cast sure looks good against the bright green canvas. Nice Lynch clip too! Who made the scale and is the blade acid washed or is it just the lighting?
So true, Coleman. And you deserve to carry the best.Investigated a close call at work today. Remembered how short life could be. It’s pocket time for this Ember 3.5

Is that tiger maple? Woods are not my strongest suit as far as identification, though I do appreciate 'em and own several.
ETA: Coleman has corrected my wrong assumption. It's Koa.
Nice cat! Never considered fly fishing for catfish. Beadhead WB?Today had the right conditions for catfish on the fly. It's not the most effective way to catch them but loads of fun when it works. It's also a lot of work, with lots of casting and thrashing through brush to get to the right spot to wade out to get to where they are. M390 Para 3 was along for this adventure.
