Family visited and their dogs taught our dogs to dig all the pepper plants out of the garden.

Replanted, watered, salvaged what was mostly ripe or completely torn off and waiting to see what comes back while planning a fence.

Happy 3 day weekend (to most at least hopefully) guys/gals! Carried the hipster knife yesterday! I know they're overpriced, but I got mine for actually a bit less than half price on a used deal. She's a sweet tool!

Edit: I also just got a new style tail cap (for the button) on my trusty Reylight Pineapple Mini. It keeps you from accidentally turning the light on when it's in your pocket, or when you're putting it in your pocket. I've been carrying this thing for over a year now (not every single day, but a lot of the time) and it's a great light. I had one little problem with it, messaged the guy who runs Reylight, and had a new circuit and lens in a few weeks. He even helped me troubleshoot it by having me take pics while I was probing things with my multimeter. He sent me an upgraded lense and a sweet pair of electricians tweezers too.

Only time I caught catfish on an a fluid was one setup with monofilament for use on crappie in partially submerged tree tops.

Bluegill have always been my flyfishing target. Gone on one dedicated small mouth trip. Those are fun on a 9wt.

My favorite childhood memories of my grandpa involve an old rod, a big hunk of frozen beef liver to carve off bait from, and a floating dock in his large pond, and pulling out all the catfish we could ever want! Really was heaven.

Yesterday’s carry. Found this little ring neck while walking over to the toolbox. I have a renewed love with the small 21 since removing the clip and carrying it in pocket.

I loved playing with the ringnecks I would find in southwestern Missoura growing up. Ours were mostly gray with orange rings. Also loved checking out the toads in the rocks along my grandparents driveway! Really cool picture!
