As a mechanic not expensive knife surgeon I've had good luck putting the tip of a soldering iron inside the head of the screw and adding a little clamp pressure to the object to add tension. But with that expensive of a knife... when the time comes sending it out is always a safe play.
 
Got me a new toy a couple days ago! I've always thought of these CKF FIF20's as a grail knife for myself, yet way too expensive for me. Well I found one used for a little less than half off and had to pounce. This thing is beautiful! The detent is very strong though. Like real strong. I may have to tune the lockbar a tad to make it easier to break passed the detent because it's really tearing my thumb up. However I'll keep it as is for a bit and make sure that I'm not just being a puss. I always seem to have issues with front flippers though. Not on the motion, I can make them all fly open easily and consistently enough, it's the jimping on the front flipper that I always feel like is too sharp from every company I've tried. But regardless they really put a lot of effort into making this thing outstanding. Very light for it's size, yet a blade that seems bigger than can fit in the handle. The blade is 3.35", yet feels like a "large" full size knife, like a Large Sebenza. This one sports the bronze anodized titanium bolsters and liners, carbon fiber scales, Skiff bearings, and a hand satin'd style M tree 90 blade.
