EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Sneaky Saturday, grabbed the Benchmade Serum...these still continue to fly under the Dual Action radar for some reason🤷🏻‍♂️ They're a really neat mechanism in an amazing EDC folder😎

Added the Alox 7 today. The pruning blade hooked me and I had to bring it home.

Got all my projects/honey-do/dad taxi obligations done before noon so I could spend the afternoon enjoying what will likely be the warmest and sunniest day for the rest of the year here. Pretty much spent the remainder of the day and evening sitting on the the porch and letting my aging joints recover from yesterday's hike.

A family member who keeps bees sent me some honey, and the day was perfect for some sweet tea

I did go to the park across the street for a bit, and even climbed a tree to rest in and enjoy the surrounding view

DocJekl DocJekl , I'm a bit puzzled at your inability to disassemble your KA Inkosingo. Is the stop-pin on the CF version configured differently than other Inkosi's? I've always thought that the floating stop pin was the most telling improvement from the re-design/re-branding of the Sebenza 25 and a great innovation in its own right. With an adjustable pivot knife, a locked-down stop pin complicates tensioning the action due to its close proximity. The floating stop pin eliminates that issue while also not needing to be removed to open the knife.

When I try to remove this screw to remove the scale, the spacer tube rotates with the screw and the screw will not back out. I cannot hold the tube in place to unscrew this, therefor I cannot remove the scale or take this apart.

I'll admit I did not try removing the pivot to see if it would open, and assumed this screw had to come out first. I will try what you elude to...

How about using 2 TORX keys, 1 on each screw, simultaneously?
One side is smooth
It can be helpful to clamp your knife in place, or set it into a fixed groove to keep it straight.
The issue is the spacer is too close to the pivot to get a grip on it, and there is no screw slot on the other site to get traction.

Gave her a good stropping today, razor sharp again. Can't get her apart to clean and lubricate, as the forward spacer by the pivot is locktighted solid and rotates with the hex wrench. Tried heat, and pliers with rubber, no help. But was able to flex the scales enough to re-install the lanyard with my wife's help.

Doc, That stop pin is floating and the scale just lifts off after removing the male pivot screw and the body screw. If you want to remove the stop pin as well that can be done once disassembled.

Edit Thanks ChazzyP ChazzyP i just saw this.

Found this Kizer in the back of the closet. A few years ago I purchased it around Halloween but didn’t get delivery until after the holiday so I put it there to use when the it came around again. It really is a decent blade just have to get over using it after spook day.
That damn closet strikes again!
