Nice Kosters! Yup, I remember him. I used to have a knife of his actually. When I came back to knives I heard that there was some sort of drama. It's too bad, I remember my Koster had a super deep hollow grind that cut like the dickens.

Morning man. What's the deal on that Hinderer Project X if you don't mind me asking? I've never been super interested in Hinderers for some reason, but that one is really piquing my interest. Did you have the thumbstuds added yourself and have it de-flippered, or do they sometimes come like that? Thanks.

Thanks for showing interest - I'm not much of a flipper only guy and drilled it for studs. shortly after decided to cut the flipper off, I figured I'd roll with the "project x" idea of it and make it my own since its sort of a frankenstein design from them anyways.

Very nice job man! That's really cool, it must have been kind of a pain to drill through that blade. I applaud your effort and design! Thanks for answering my question.

How do you like the Winkler? They opened up his actual Winkler store about a half hour from my house. I stopped in and met Dan, super nice guy, I haven't bought anything yet, still deciding which one I want. I really wanted a pair of his axes that are in the terminal list, but way out of my price range..

I love it. If I’m carrying another knife when I go out it’s because I have forced myself to use some of mynothers knives so they won’t just gather dust!

I went with the belt knife since that was what I percieved as «the» winkler/flagship/standard. I would probably be just as happy with a Woodsman, the size is just great. I could have managed with a Blue ridge hunter as well. And maybe a SD1 for those small hikes..

It’s a hard choice, what tipped the scale for me was that I likes the tapered tang to much
