EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

So I'm slowly getting back to posting daily and rotating knives, as I'm turning all the club b-ball work I've done the last couple weeks over to my coaches who are holding their tryouts this week. There's still lots to do at both club and league levels to prepare for the season, but the blitzkrieg of sign-ups for my teams has finally abated.

Anyway, I've got my CruCarta PM2 on me today for Micarta Monday. This knife really made me sit up and take notice when I first saw it and then re-opened my eyes to the model when I picked one up. I'd been OK with the two I'd owned and kept the black G10, satin S30V, but boy did I fall for the nat Micarta, full liners, and CruWear steel on this one. That led me to order a set of fluted Ti scales from RGT for the other and now I have two PM2's that I like a lot and get fairly frequent carry. I'll probably grab the other for Ti Tuesday.

I did mention I love the fuller liners on this, didn't I?

Yeah, this is sure a great variation of the the PM2 platform. This is my first CruWear blade--really digging it so far--the Micarta is great in hand, and the full liners both give the knife a really solid feel and look great too. Before buying I listened to a couple YouTube reviewers whining about the extra cut-out in the scales behind the compression lock bar, but other knives have similar mill-outs to allow lock bars to allow the slight over-travel needed to clear the locking surface. The slight flex there doesn't detract at all from the feel in hand of this knife and that section's not in play in any practical grip anyway.

Oh, I did have more pics today too....

Take it up a notch and put a deep carry clip on it, oh yeah

I'm good with the clip on this one. I've put deep carries on a few of my knives--Lynch's or MXG's--but mostly just to replace crappy black painted stock clips. While liking those I've added, I have no particular preference for deep carry and the stock, bright Spydie clips like the one on this PM2 carry and look just fine for me. YMMV.

Oo I never knew there was a set of thumbstuds acting as the stop pin(s), hiding behind the front of the scales on that model! Very cool, thanks for sharing.
LC,
See attached picts....there are no thumb studs.
Opening by slot in blade or by flipper.
Thanks for your interest.
Stay safe.
