EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Spent the first half of the week sick with whatever the respiratory mung of the week going around is. I never call out sick, and hate doing so, but it was pretty hellacious. Still not 100, but went back to work Thursday and survived to see the weekend.

More importantly, taking the next week off, as my elder son and his wife will be home on military leave since he just transferred duty stations from Hawaii to San Antonio, and they bought their first house there. Happy they’ll be closer, even if not exactly close. At least we will be able to road trip to see them without crossing the ocean. Gonna get some father/son range time in while they are here, and he wants to do some gun shopping. That’s perfectly fine by me.

I gotta say, I REALLY enjoy the MSI. It’s quickly becoming a favorite, if y’all hadn’t noticed.

Sounds like a rough week but next week sounds like a great one.

I missed another day posting yesterday. Despite having gotten some pics I spent more time looking into that issue that our neighbor up North has created for us and then had to spend some time in the afternoon measuring up a small copper job a couple towns over. As it was I swapped knives around mid-day after pocketing my Shiro Python in the morning, then switching to my Hati work user for the trip to the job site. The F3 gets EDC'd, but not to the extent of cutting any sticky, adhesive construction materials that might interfere with my measurements. I got these pics of the pair after I got back home later in the day, though I'd kinda lost the light by then.

I pocketed the Python again this morning again for a trip up-Cape for a medical appointment and errands. The true colors of the Micarta show up better with more light penetrating the woodshed earlier in the afternoon despite a bit of on-and-off drizzle.

I’ve seen your F3 Python posted before and really like it. It especially pops in the pics with the sun. Gets cooler every time I see it.

“Why yes, that is a Python in my pocket” haha 😂

Well, thanks. The material and the coloration are interesting, as its appearance varies with the light in hand as well as in pics, though more so in the latter. It's also a very open and untreated weave, so the snake requires a good bath from time to time as it fairly easily darkens with use. In the aftermath it appears almost bleached out, but resumes its rich appearance quickly with just a little handling.

Why yes, that is a Python in my pocket”--true, but I'm also very glad to see you. 😏
