EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

No matter how many knives come and go this one has been with me for the long haul.

 

man I missed the boat on one of these knives... Still kick in myself!

 

Just finished up a much needed takedown on the 7777 for tomorrow's EDC. Action improved slightly with some nano 10 weight oil. Kershaw how about an m390 version?

I can't really say I could improve the design of a master designer like Bastinelli. Maybe I just made it more my own and made modifications to things that personally irritated me. Sorry Bastien The "bottle opener" was in my opinion quite unnecessary, so it went. Also the tip in my opinion did not line as well as it could, so I dropped it slightly. I heated the sheath, put the knife in and pressed it in foam (using a 20 kg kettlebell as a weight ) and now it has a good retention. I also tuned, with some trial and error the retention with a zip tie, it also gives a brace for thumb to press on when drawing the blade if I carry this in my pocket. The knife sits just a bit deeper in the sheath.
I gound the handle more to my taste and in my opinion it is more comfortable now. I like simple carry systems, IWB and pocket with a statick cord are my favourites. Included is also a picture of the knife in it's original form.

Halfway through week 3 of carrying this every day, including weekends. That's a rare one for me, but this thing is pretty damn sweet.

Seriously thinking about getting rid of the rest of my folders, except for this guy and my Sebenza.

 

That’s the first 0393 I’ve seen dressed in micarta..and it looks superb!!!

 

Who made that micarta scale, it looks nice!

 

Thanks! Ended up grabbing one on closeout and dressed it up. Also changed the frame from blue to bronze.
