Well this is a knife that I never thought I'd touch, let alone own... I won this in a raffle last week for $20 . Playing around with it outside last night.

Had flights booked, rental car reserved and our bags all packed to head up to Blade Show last week….but had to bail on everything last minute.

Long story short, I did my shopping via text with some of the makers I was really looking forward to meeting. Would’ve been my first show…and my first opportunity to actually handle a selection of knives in person. We don’t have an actual knife store anywhere near us. In fact, I’ve never actually been to a knife shop either. So much to learn, so many things left on my bucket list.

Anyway, I digress….but then I always do. This W5 Midi from Riaan Manser was the first to show up from GA. I’m actually carrying it right now outside the local UPS hub waiting for a driver to return with another inbound I’ve been desperately trying to intercept today before it gets returned to the sender…..but that’s a story for another day.

Happy Father's Day to BF Brethren. I got a car wash for Father's Day, now just relaxing with family on the deck and trying to stay in the shade. It feels like it is going to be a hot summer this year.

Well, all great things come to an end. Had a blast at Bladeshow meeting a bunch of friends face to face. If ya missed me…next time look around I was the only dude wearing a “Sharp & Fiery Leatherworks” t-shirt and hat. Haha!

Spent the next 4 days with Josh REK Knives and family. That is definitely the highlight of our trip. It’s always a blast and watching Josh work shows just how much of a perfectionist he is!

Below is a Scorpion 6 BS snag for me. I’m also a trinket guy so I pick up the screwdriver insert for my zippo while at the Zippo/Case Museum. So rad.

I accidentally drove right past the GEC factory…and am a little bummed. But….there is always next year!!
