Agreed ! But yeah it’s a pretty stout blade steel . Reminds me of Maxamet for sure with similar blade hardness and has the beautiful grain pattern on the blade edge too. Most importantly slices like a laser !

We're having a weird Cape Cod Nor-easter here today, a small system being held just offshore by another much larger one farther out to sea which is in turn being held in place by several others far out into the Atlantic, all the systems with centers (some well off-center) and both counter- and clockwise winds resulting in us getting a well-needed, but not-torrential all-day rain. It would seem a classic "backed-in" storm, though its winds are so far only moderate and I've don't recall seeing a confluence of systems quite like what's going on presently before.

Anyway, it's a crappy day for pics and I told my friend what I'd carry today, so here's some from the files from last May when I first received this CruCarta Military 2.

I like this one a whole lot and am really glad to have it, but, as I've noted before, it strikes me more like a larger PM2 than like what I consider to be my true Military's. I do hope that Spyderco continues to produce both versions of this great knife going forward.
