Happy Friday folks! Got a chance to get a couple pics within the "golden hour". That last bit of light of the day sure makes things look good.

In the morning I took my daughter to additional programming classes.

And walked along the embankments of Vasilievsky Island.

Slowly smoked a pipe.

Admired the morning moon over the Academy of Arts built by Empress Catherine II.

Watched the queue of tourists who wanted to take a photo with the Sphinxes of Thebes.

The sphinxes guarding the entrance to the Temple-Tomb of Pharaoh Amenhotep III were bought by Emperor Alexander in 1831 to decorate the embankment in front of the Academy.
