Was able to get in about 12 miles in the mountains yesterday


Trailhead coffee for fuel

wish I could capture the scale of this tree

Made it through the forest, up the rocks, and finally to an alpine meadow with a stream

By then it was around 11:30, perfect time to break fast

Hung out with this lil' feller (marmot, bottom/right) for a while and soaked in the scene before heading back down

Back at the trailhead refreshment

Hit our favorite local sandwich spot for a bite (and some more refreshment)

Back home for dessert after picking what may likely be the last of the ripe figs our tree will produce this year
