Thanks for the kind words and thanks for asking. Yes, everyone was good in our area. Still waiting on a full report from my cousin (more like a brother) once he gets in tonight from checking his cow pastures.

Morning walk with the dog.

The dog was in great danger today. A ripe chestnut fell on it from above.

Thank God, only the dog's pride suffered.

This was about 5 miles in. Not a bad place to have breakfast

This was about 5 miles in. Not a bad place to have breakfast

From there we headed up a few more miles. No discernable trail for the most part, just scrambling up the rocks wherever it seemed safest. It wasn't long before we got above all but the slightest of vegetation. It was really cool but a bit eerie, almost felt lunar.
