EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Two for the pocket carry today. Have two in the mail, late and no update on arrival date. USPS always keeps me guessing, sometimes package arrives early throwing off my estimates. Had one go all the way to Hawaii for some odd reason only to circle back to New Mexico....Know I am not alone in this and it is like waiting for Xmas....ah the anticipation.

Morning Sir, did you dye your forums knife or did it come that dark? Beautiful example either way😉
That one was dyed by my Bro-in-law, Nathan Denning. Here is a thread with some more information about it. I that particular knife is shown starting on page 6.

Who made the fixed blade ?

Except for the handle ,almost looks like a DMC @David Mary , with those type serrations .
I made the fixed blade. Yea props to David Mary for introducing me to those type of serrations💪🏼. I wanted to try them out on a larger fixed blade so I’m carrying this around and testing them

I slept in a bit this morning and within an hour or two the rain began, alternating throughout the day between light and somewhat steadier showers. I was in and out when it was lighter to the woodshed plus getting some of the salt off the Charger, dousing it with buckets of medium hot water as our outside water is off for the season. Late in the day I managed some slightly wet pics of my 908BK-1501which I carried on this combo Carbon Fiber and Knives Ship Free Friday.

I have a sorta love/hate thing with coated blades, loving their looks and how they contrast with or compliment a knife's handle materials, but hating it when they get marked up or the coating wears off in spots. I've sold off quite a few that I liked a lot but didn't use or carry just to keep nice. Those I've kept mostly tend toward mottled finishes like BlackWash or Battle Black, but the CerraKote on this Axis Stryker II has held up well with not inconsiderable use over the last 9 or10 years and it even has a couple of significant scratches that don't show through. We have a number of Strykers here with three in my wife's drawer and this one among my accumulation of BMKs. Her first was a G10 mini she saved from the Exchange with a plaintive look and an unwillingness to hand it back to me when I was about to take some sales pics. Once in a while I'll sneak her plain-edge, G10, satin 154CM 908 out of her drawer for a day's carry, but I usually opt for this sweet M4 example when the Stryker urge strikes.
