Yesterday, after tracing the head jamb at the job site, I spent time in the shop working on a template to make the exterior head casing for the fan-light top for the new front entry that K and I will install tomorrow. Transferring the offsets for the interior and exterior edges of the casing is a slow process, so the Turtle was an appropriate knife choice.

Another hot, sunny day at work on the Cape, though the humidity has dropped considerably. I took a mid-morning break to sit in the shade of my trailer for a bit of a snack and a bottle of water.

My woven pith helmet looks more than a little goofy, but it keeps the hot sun off my dome and provides a little wearable shade.
