Been away from the forums for a while. Found a combination that works for me a while back, a Spyderco Stretch 2 XL and a SAK Farmer X. My knife evolution has been: what my dad or uncles gave me up to the 80’s, whatever looked cool in the 80’s, whatever would cut boxes in the 90’s, traditional in the early 2000’s, traditional and pocket fixed blades for much of the 2010’s and early teens, a bit of everything from there.

Now I have found a thin bladed slicer folder in something around a 3.5 - 4 inch blade and a SAK pretty much will do everything I need daily. I replaced the standard Stretch with a new one in SPY27 steel recently and really like it. My first new knife in quite a while.
