When I was a teen, back in the mid-1960s, our favorite local drive-in, (like in Happy Days, with car hops, and everything), got shut down for serving horse meat burgers. They were there for years, and were part of the 50s & 60s culture. The place was always packed on weekends. The burgers were 15 cents, and delicious. Nobody cared about the horse meat. We just wanted the place open again, but it ended up as a used car lot.

We had some moose meat for supper last night. Our neighbor brought it back from hunting a trip to Alaska a few months ago. It tasted like deer......but different. I suppose an Alaskan moose diet is a little bit different than a PA whitetail.![]()
That forest sure grows some beautiful blades!Mornin guys! Decided to go for a little hike yesterday an hour and a half or so before sunset. Ended up going quite a bit further than I planned, but it is so beautiful back there that I wanted to keep going. Ended up still in the woods right at sundown and then crossed the creek, hiked up the ravine and out onto the road, and then walked back on the road about a mile and half to my vehicle. A nice little hike and I ended it off with a delicious burger and fries on the way home.
