couldn't help myself...LOL
I had a coworker that came to work following a day at the range with his new 44 snub with a sight mark in the center of his foreheadI find Snubs to be kind of a mixed bagThey hurt the palm quite a bit and aren’t exactly the easiest to shoot, but conceal so well and can be shot from a pocket (even better with a concealed hammer DAO).
That said, I do own a few wheel guns and carry a S&W snubby as my secondary sometimes. They have their place![]()
Gotta love the snubbie. Drops nicely in most pockets and finds it's way there when taking out the garbage and recycling cans, picking up mail, quick trips to the store. You get the idea. I have a couple; S&W 442 and S&W 642, no locks. Well used. Snake loads go in for summertime on the farm and Underwood 158gr coated soft cast SWC otherwise.I find Snubs to be kind of a mixed bagThey hurt the palm quite a bit and aren’t exactly the easiest to shoot, but conceal so well and can be shot from a pocket (even better with a concealed hammer DAO).

Years a go I had a Colt Officers model SA 45acp and it was a little cannon. My forehead survived a weekend shooting in the desert but my hand was torn up literally was ripping the skin off my hand lol. Fortunately had a few other guns to shoot to and that’s when I learned and got some practice shooting with my weak hand since my other hand was toast lol.You haven't seen my front head when I shot my compact 1911 for the first time... At least, with the snub, the shells stay in the cylinder![]()
