Well, so much for getting my BF rhythm back for following and posting on these pages.
We just finished Week 2 of our b-ball season and the work has not slowed down as it should. We had weather cancellations and make-ups to schedule after this weekend. The adult squabbling--the worst part of running the league--has already begun. Too many stupid emails, texts, calls with people complaining about opposing coaches, parents, and, as always, the referees. It's what drove my predecessor away 15 years back and it's the bad side of trying to do something good for kids.
Anyway, I had the Strizh in my pocket for our Sunday games, but all our opponents cancelled due to snow-phobia, so I just went in to spend an hour shutting down the gym, dropping the side baskets, closing the stands, and clearing the scorer's table. Yesterday I had my 154CM Grip with natural G11 Wilkins scales with me as we cleaned the snow off our vehicles and brought in firewood around dealing with all the nonsense. I hung onto it today as we brought in our Christmas tree, my wife did some shopping, and I actually got some work done, drafting a shop drawing for a couple of in-deck LCC scuppers, then laying out and cutting an aluminum prototype to get the order of the bends right and to find any tweaks I'd need to make.
Here's the cut out laid over the drawing...
...and the rough prototype of the upper section which have a hole and down-lead in the center.
The two finished pieces will be soldered lead-coat copper which I'm hopeful of completing for my client tomorrow if all the annoying basketball parents will leave me alone.
