Paper Wheels! That's something you don't hear of often anymore! Man, they were all the rage.... I wonder why they pretty much completely disappeared from the zeitgeist? Maybe people found out that it overheated the edge a little bit or something? I was going to say that maybe the main manufacturer of them went away, but I just searched them and they're definitely still available. Don't know, but I'd like to have some, atleast for quick touchups of bigger knives. I think once more edge retention testing results came out it scared people away from using powered sharpening tools, but perhaps it over-scared them as they definitely still have their place.Always nice to carry something from makers we all knew. The folder is fromSTR and the little fixed is a R richard j , the gentleman who made paper wheels popular. Two extremely sharp blades that will never be produced again, a real shame

Life is good again. The birds have seedMornin guys! Had to mess around with the Cheburkov small Strizh yesterday, as well as my PM3 with Rockscale Ti scales. An awesome combo that doesn't get near enough love. Someday I might put the PM3 scales against some flat sandpaper and give it a satin finish so that the high points are satin finished and the low points are still DLC. I always thought that'd be a cool look.
