I understand. If there is snow on the ground, I keep the bird and squirrel feeders full. Squirrel feeder attracted a new player.

Our oldest male was interested in the new visitor.

Whoah! That's a rare sighting to have a hawk (of some kind I believe) come down to the bird feeder! At least for me. I've only seen a hawk come down to my bird area twice right outside my window like that and one time it was to pick up a mouse who had traveled over from somewhere to eat the birdseed that fell to the ground. I've also found one or two dead birds out there though and a dead squirrel that I figure was either from a hawk or one of the bunch of stray cats that hangout around here.

And yesterday, this was my carry for a lot of the day. My little Buck 170 and the TRM Nuetron.

We have a pair that nests yearly a couple blocks over. Our back yard was part of the flight training grounds for the babies one year. The adults fly through regularly. They are fun to watch.
In 2020, the couple had a pair of little ones. The adults were constantly hunting. One afternoon my wife saw white fur in our side yard and thought it was leftovers from a hunting trip. Turned out some a-hole, witch tossed out a 5 week old kitten. He turned into this

A little snowy today…if we get a little break, I’ll jump on the sled for an hour or so.

So…I had been searching for a Eustler DUK for a few years now. Most were out of range for me price wise and I’m picky. Haha.

This one just so happened to have exactly what I was looking for and priced to where I could swing it. No, it doesn’t have the fancy slotted/geared pivot collar, but it does have zirc accents AND it’s on PB washers! Woohoo. A dream knife come true.

Ergos and action are fantastic. Zero blade play and I mean zero. I’m very impressed and it was worth the wait.

May your week treat you all well and the Son shine upon you.
