Ya know, I didn't even know that SOG's used to be made in Edmonds, that's awesome. I guess since I only moved further up north here about the same time as their GSM acquisition, I completely missed their golden era. For some reason I never got a SOG my whole knife career except for a one of their fixed blades semi recently.Thank you for this ! As you know, J grew up near SOG’s Edmonds, WA HQ and their knives were some of my firsts and favorites. Sadly, that changed once the manufacturing was “farmed out”. I’ll keep on the lookout for Pepperwool knives.![]()
Yessir ! The Pacific Northwest has been home to many a fine USA knife maker. SOG, Benchmade, Kershaw, Buck, CRKT, CRK, Koenig, etc. I’ve supported all of them at some point but struggle to do so when the manufacturing leaves and/or quality declines. CRK and Koenig are still holding it down over there in the desert oasis of Boise, Idaho !Hahah, I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it's funny!

And speak of the devilRLB0414 and
ferider . I said that I've only ever seen a hawk come down to my bird feeder a few times, well he swooped down 2 more times since I said that. A few days ago he swooped down to grab something furry/feathered and then made a hard left straight for my window. He just barely stopped before he smacked into my window and I happened to be looking. Then, yesterday he swooped down again and gave me a chance to take a quick, dirty pic before he took off again.
