EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Morning guys. I got a couple extra days off after Memorial Day because I had brake issues in my vehicle. I took them off to work on it, but it just became too big of a job for me because I couldn't troubleshoot why the front passenger side disk brake had locked up on me while driving. So anyways, it's at the shop now and I have a moment to breathe before going back to work tomorrow. It's amazing how decompressing taking a couple extra days off can be. This Fox Glove sprang up out of nowhere in our garden area. We didn't really do the whole garden thing this year, except some plants against the fence outside of my bedroom window. There are still a bunch of onions and stuff growing again from last year though, as well as my couple Raspberry bushes.

It's pretty majestic here for sure for someone who loves being in nature. Looks like it's extremely nice there in Alaska as well! I love seeing the landscape shots that you've been taking lately.

Really curious what you think of this. I went OTF many years ago and couldn't stand the amount of blade wobble that was "normal" back then. I know one of the brands supposedly has a wobble free blade now but is more than I feel like paying for what would be a novelty knife for me. But the Livewire is priced right that I could see getting one.

I was very skeptical as well, but figured I'd return it if it felt too sloppy. Overall, I'm impressed. Very solid deployment and retraction. There is zero blade play front to back, but there is a little side-to-side. It's not terrible. I put a ruler down on a desk and set the spine of the knife down on the desk perpindicular to the ruler with the blade tip hovering over the edge of the ruler. You can feel a little blade play in your hands, but in reality, it only has 1mm of play at the tip from one extreme to the other. For an OTF knife, that seems acceptable to me.

A few other things to note. The quality of the knife seems fantastic. Great fit and finish and all the grinds are very well done. A lot of people seem to compain about the pocket clip but I like it just fine. It's far from the sharpest knife I've ever received out of the box. I'll use it as-is for a while before I spend and time on it. It is more solid than I expected and the quality seems great. As long as I can get at least a few months of reliable use before I have to take it appart and clean it I'll be a happy camper. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Just curious how it ages over time with regular use. Will it loosen up or stay about the same? Does the action pop the blade out reliable enough and again long term? I know you don't want to oil them because it can gunk up the insides. Learned that the hard way... If you wouldn't mind, just do a use review eventually. I'm eager and I doubt I'd be the only one.
