Made some new edge pro style strops today with the Uncovsky and my Ti Tinker.

I really like the feel of the Ti scales in the tinker, but it does become a bit of a pocket brick. You can definitely feel it bouncing around. As such, I almost never carry it.

That Uncovsky looks awesome. I have been eyeing them over in the knife makers sale area for a bit whats your thoughts on it?

It's a budget custom... Definitely punching above its weight class, but it doesn't have the same level of refinement as something like a Reate. It can't really at $350.

He's done the important stuff though. The action is spectacular. The symmetry is good. The lockup is good. The handle edges and scales are left sort of "as-cut" though.

I really like the knife and would happily purchase one for myself. I'd have to spend some time rounding and polishing edges though.

My only real complaint is the pocket clip. It was too tight and the contact point is too sharp with concave ramps, so getting it over a thick seam required an absurd amount of force.

You're probably not supposed to do this with a passaround knife, but I bent the clip a tiny bit to relieve the tension. It was really unusable as delivered. Works fine now though. No issues with pocket rentention and I'm no longer trying to rip the ass off of my pants just to deploy the knife.

As long as you're ok with the sort of rustic finish on the handle or with putting in a little elbow grease of your own, it's a really solid buy. Has a lot more character than a Reate too.

I know I was just kidding.My Table top looks like a Arsenal at times when I grab some toys to wipe down or oil or sometimes just admire and fondle :thumbsup:

The rear pin holds the pocket clip and keeps the scales together. The double headed rear pin is retained by a C clip on the swinging spine. The hole behind the rear C clip is part of the lanyard tunnel. The pocket clip can be reversed. The rear pin can be removed through the lanyard hole. The slots in the blade can be used to hold Tritium vials.
