Electrician's knives. And those that use them.

Hey neat thread

I actually have one in the belt holster today as well. Didn't do any electrical, but the Rough Ryder sliced right through some tubular PVC just a few minutes ago. Kinda neat because usually a razor blade is the only knife that can do that without cracking it.

I carry an electrician's knife (TL-29) more than any other knife. They are cheap, dependable, look good, sharpen easily, but basically because they are affordable and rugged.

Here's a real Camillus TL-29. I normally carry the generic Camillus with synthetic scales, but today is Sunday.

Does anyone else carry a TL-29?
I missed this thread first time around.
Well said, and yes, I tote a TL-29 a lot.

That’s a fine specimen. I have a four liner just like that ~ cocobolo, TL-29 shield.
You’ve inspired me to look into the TL-29 cigar box today.

I’ll be using this one today. Last version Camillus that I rehandled with bone.
This generation, the final version before their bankruptcy, are the best for modding, because they are not rare, and they are inexpensive.
You can identify them by the shackle being closer to the butt, and the unfinished back.

I ground and polished the back on this one.034D43A7-624F-419A-84CE-9086D897CFFF.jpeg773BA2B8-D6DF-4F05-B29E-9EAC5EACF11B.jpeg
Maybe this could be What TL-29 Are Ya Totin Today? thread.🤔

I've come across TL-29s quite often, so I started to collect them!! Schrade added a saw blade to one at some point (after WWII), although that one is kind of rare!!
Looks like a lot of companies made TLs!!!

Glad you popped in with a few of yours, sir!
I have Schrade Waldens, but no Scharde Cut Co.s, And I do not have a Remy, although I do have a WWII production Pal made on the Remington tooling when they gave up knives to go all in on ammunition.

It was boogered up, so I got it for $10 at the knife show a couple of years ago.

How about one out of Little Valley? Got any of those?
