Elusive Schrades

I thought it was great to see the Rem's slip into the Schrade Thread so quietly, and I thought to myself ......"mmmm I wonder how long it will take for Charlie to see these here, I hope he doesn't take the posts away and leave them here....." and you did so thank you for not deleting those stunning Knives Charlie- as what has already been said- too Nice to touch now my friend.

Picked up this nice little unused Schrade recently.

Your knife was made for 27 years and had Bone handles!! Many were made with Delrin also, in varying years!! It was called a Balloon whittler by most, but resembled a stockman, more than a whittler, IMO!!!!
Maybe someone will post some!!??

Here is an older Schrade Cut Co HJ group; The bottom three have the older style Pick bone, Rattail Bolsters, and arched Stamps! The top one, a premium for an industrial Belting Company, has a slightly later bolster and stamp, but still has the pick bone! Schrade did an excellent job on grinding that punch! They sold a lot of HJs!!HJs picks arches 1.jpgHJs picks arches 2.jpg

Wow Charlie... the blades and woods on the sheepfoot jacks are astounding o_O :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Wonder about Wanda Edge... What was that?
Then those HJs... Gawgeous Rat tails, bone work and such a scooped out punch:eek::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

They were trying to provide a knife that would cut tough Hawsers (ropes)!
Charlie, tell us more about the one with the fine saw teeth, how does it cut?? And I've got a fixed blade with Wonda-Edge, 1959-'63.

Wow Charlie here I was excited that I picked up one of these, I ought to have known you had a fleet of them. I'll have to get some pictures up of mine when I get a chance.

That is a really nice collection of Schrades Charlie! Here is the Schrade HJ I recently found. It's got the straight line tang stamp with that nice rat tail bolster and pick bone handles.
