Elusive Schrades

WOW! Some super-minty jigging being displayed these last few posts. Such nice bone Cut Co's! I tend to hunt pearl and sterling more than bone only because, well, I can't buy-'em-all. Thanks for posting such great finds!

Here's a group shot of the previously posted 2-1/4", 5-pin, 2-blade MOP lobster with some friends.

The milled sterling knife is, I think, very rare as well. It has mirror-polished stainless blades. Stainless is very unusual for this pattern. It is the only 2-1/4" lobster I have seen with the post-1946 Schrade Walden stamping or, for that matter, stainless blades.

The 3-blade 8606SHA will look better after I clean it up a bit but is is in pretty good shape as-is.

Has anyone else seen a 2-1/4" lobster with the Schrade Walden stamp? Maybe I just missed them but believe me, I hunt for these knives.

Augie, beautiful vintage Schrade additions for your collection! I guess everything isn’t just GEC in Titusville:oops: Your photographs are just grand and the focus detail like on the bone is phenomenal:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Charlie your serpentine Jack example with the early divot pick bone is sure a prize! I have a pristine two blade example but with the more common shield and peach bone. They are just a very graceful and svelte pattern in my opinion.

Augie takes great picture for sure!!!

Thanks Lloyd!!

Seconds?? Not quite up to Mark's standard!! His dear friend from Texas bought Mark's collection just before he passed, and sent these "duplicates" to me as a gift, as remembrances!! I was touched of course, and will always keep these knives to remember a great guy!! Two great guys!!Nagle Postmort 1.jpg

Thanks Charlie! This thread is packed full of top-notch Schrade.

Rare Schrade-made Stag Stockmen!! ...

Speaking of which... Here's another stag stockman. It just arrived today.

It's basically an 885UH King Ranch in stag. It has brass pins. This UST3GS Fisherman's Gift Set also includes a real nice burnt stag version of the 167UH Steelhead pattern. Schrade made 500 of these Copenhagen sets in 1992. The walnut display box is above average as well with its attractive laser-cut fishing scene. The same scene is stamped into the sheath for the fillet.

Here are some pics I took of another set I sold a few years back (to show the display box) and new scans of set #421 which I received today. Gotta love sambar stag!

Bladecollector- wonderful display of great Knives, Loved viewing them!

Augie- you have acquired some very nice Knives lately- but those two Schrades are exceptional my friend- stunning examples that would still look fantastic in Charlies Friend Mr Nagle's collection.
Almost frustrating looking at such stunning Knives because I can't quite get enough of them  😮, Charlie your friend had amazing stunning Knives! You as well my friend - there's no doubt about that!

I would crawl over Broken glass to get to that HJ! 🤪

Love Peach-Seed....

Great stuff, John and Charlie! John, is it possible that your sheepfoot jack has different jigging on the two sides? They look different to me, but I'm not handling them. Maybe it was a transitional piece, made right when they were changing from one jigging to the other.

Thanks Jeff, it does not look as different in person, the macro shots tend to amplify everything.
