Elusive Schrades

Rob, two absolutely gorgeous knives but that whittler is superb! 👍👍

It's always baffled me what those symbols mean after the pattern number on the inked blades. I've seen the same symbols in some of the old catalogs they used at the factory as well. Always meant to ask Dave Swinden but never got around to it, now I'm not sure if there's anyone left who would know.

Thanks Duncan
Eric, I've wondered about the symbols too and why some have them and some don't.

Here's a dandy wharncliffe. 3 1/8" with exquisite jigging.

Wow!

What a Page of amazing Knives
Rob- did you just get hold of those amazing four Knives? or have you had them stashed away in your little Stag Cave somewhere? Those are absolutely gorgeous and absolutely Mint! very very nice Quartet of impressive Knives my friend  :)

Paul- and there's another very nice one as well- well done, Gorgeous knife!

Charlie- Thats a first for me that I can remember- A Schrade made Winchester - of we know about out contracted Knives- but I don't think I have ever seen Schrade's Peachseed carrying a Winchester Tang Stamp- real neat to see! Kens version is outstanding!! did Ken do that Jig work himself?

Steve- Wow- this is what I mean about a page of amazing Knives - those two are gorgeous! I can see why Charlie was so taken by that pattern to reintroduce it back into the World! That Cut Co Jack again is just Great- beautiful Pair of Knives that you could put on the Table with the best of Collectors and be proud- I know I would be!

Welcome, Charlie. Good to see you posting lately
Wonderful Pair, Rob!!! Thanks for showing us!!

Thanks, Paul. Fantastic stockman  The small ones are exceptionally well made!
Exceptionally well done Rob!

I was able to get a fairly elusive one. Unused
2 3/4” 808 jr stockman in peachseed bone. However, this one has no pattern stamp, instead being stamped stainless. It also has no liner stamping like these usually do. A most excellent little knife.

Thanks, Duncan. They started coming in about 2 weeks ago. A seller on the big auction site was running a couple of inked knives a week. I think I wound up with all of those, I could have missed something. He had some other very nice unused Cut Co but I focused on ink as I knew they were enough to cut me back to eating beans and rice for a spell!

I have always thought they were part of a code about pricing!! Most companies were pretty cagey about their mark-ups and such!!Oregon 2017 G.jpgSchradeMooseB.jpg
