Elusive Schrades

I don't know how but this knife seems to come back in my pocket by itself 🙄

It enjoys the company of your Prayer Beads!!! 🤣

Very good show Rob! Of course that single bladed jack will get all the Thumbs up- but that Scout is pretty darned cool too, and who can go past such an attractive Cattle knife like that! 😍

Hate using the word rare but I picked up a candle end 3 1/2" Schrade Cut Co Mother Of Pearl jack the other day that I think qualifies as rare. I don't recall seeing many regular jacks made by Schrade in MOP, mainly seemed to be used on small gentlemans knives. Happen to have the same pattern in pick bone with a sheepsfoot blade and arched tang stamp.

Holly smokes John, nice pair. Both look pretty rare. Hard to beat that pick bone but may have just done that with the MOP.

Here’s some that I’ve snagged over the last couple of years.

Here is a recently acquired Schrade Cut advertising ring turn small (3 inches) two blade pen knife type folder. It is a salesman sample and has never been used or sharpened. The main or primary mark side spear blade is crocus polish all other blade surface are glaze finished. I did a quick internet search for C. L. Laborteaux Co. but could not find anything. I have seen a couple of these Schrade Cuts RTs over the years and always wanted to get one and then this one became available. Thanks to the collector who parted with it!!

Awesome find Lloyd!! I found where one of the 1920 presidential candidates paid them $125 as a campaign expense (guess he needed boxes for something) so they were definitely around pre-1920 for sure. They were out of Cincinnati, OH. That's the one and only tidbit I could find.

Sweet find, Lloyd!!
I didn't know you liked metal handles!!! Not as pristine as yours - probably carried around a bit with pocket change, but used little!! Blades both marked SS!!Stainless Ring 1.jpgStainless Ring 2.jpgStainless Ring 3.jpg

Sitting next to the Ring Turn Knife in the drawer is this pruner!!
I'd call it a Peach Pruner if it had a curved handle, but it's just a slim, pocketable, all-metal Pruner!! Only one I've ever seen like this from Schrade!! Barely used, just some "drawer patina"!!!Peachy K 1.jpgPeachy K 2.jpg
