Does anyone else remember the Herter's catalog? I remember my dad getting them when I was very young and even ordering from them once in a while. I recently snagged a Schrade Walden Razor Blade Stainless 825 off the bay in a lot of ten knives, and the main blade brought back some memories.

That's cool, I've never seen the Razor blade etch on the pile side before!

I hadn't either. Both etches are pretty faint, I had a hard time getting pictures clear enough to read them. I got a good laugh out of "Wilderness Knife" on a slim medium stockman.

Schrade may have been seeking a more youthful image than their "Old Timer" brand projected calling this 24OTX the "X TIMER". It's 3 5/16" closed, has a clip and pen blade coated with Titanium Nitride, black Delrin handles, solid brass inlayed shield, bolsters and liners. A smart looking knife but seemingly not widely circulated.

Beautiful example Glenn, and rare for sure!! What's the closed length on that guy?

Here's another from that show yesterday...this is a 210B. Looks like a standard barlow, until you realize that it's barely 2 3/4" closed. I've also got the single blade version of this pattern in white covers, but I don't think you see this pattern very often.

Wow Glenn, you hit it when you scored that Whittler! What a beauty! and what a pleasure to view! :) 😍

Jean-Marc, here we are collecting all the knives we can, and that Old Timer there would do yourself and your children a lifetimes work! I don't think we could ever go wrong with an USA built Old Timer.

Steve- Grand 294 with gorgeous Peach-seed Bone- Love the Colours of that Bone, age and use add such a special thing to a knife like this. 😍
