Elusive Schrades

Picked up this Cut Co. jack in stainless, these early ones in stainless don't seem be very common.

Oh Augie that Knife is something else my friend! Absolutely Wonderful! Great Find.
I thought I would put this up, being a very sweet wee Schrade with gorgeous Peach-Seed, and in the line of thoughts with the loss of Chuko this Knife being a wee Lobster 'n all.
Have a wonderful day folks.

Seriously, it's a beauty my friend, amazing the detail and craftsmanship Lobster's and wee pen knives possess:thumbsup::cool:

Thank you Glenn Sir :)

Paul - actually I found this knife while I was at your house - actually I found lots and lots :D

This Libster is so amazing- the build of the knife is incredible- have another look at just how fine those Tangs are and yet the walk and talk is superb - strong!!!!

I just don’t think you could find finer Bolsters  not the tiniest gap anywhere on this knife- just incredible.

John, great old knife in many ways.

Nice one Duncan my friend, I love how you notice the details.

The 856 and its cut co predecessors are fairly elusive in any condition. The cuts had many blade variations on that frame but the clip/sheepsfoot/spey is the only blade configuration that survived from cut co to walden. They stopped making the pattern around 1961 or so, it did not survive to swinden assembly.

I just popped in to post some recent acquisitions and saw this post Duncan... it's amazing you were thinking of @chuko when you posted this because I was thinking of him as well when I opened up the thread. I know he was an NYK guy but couldn't help but think of him nonetheless. Your lobster knife is awesome! I have a beat up Cut Co and a Weck that is in better shape:
